This Week in Music

This is my first post and also my first music post. I’m not sure how the actual layout of this will go but here ya go…..

New/Up-and-coming bands: this week we have a rap duo from Illinois named The Cool Kids. For real this group is legit. They have beats reminiscent of the 80’s (they even have a song called ‘88) and so is their style. They wear vintage bright nikes(a huge plus in my book) and bright t-shirts. Lyrically they have some intersting things to say, although there is some language. Just open your minds and ears a take a listen to these bmx riding, beat dropping duo.

New Music out this week: Panic at the Disco, Counting Crows, The Raconteurs, Foals, Starfield, Pennywise, Jon Foreman

New music that i recommend: Jon Foreman’s Spring E.P.- the Switchfoot frontman has released his third e.p. in a series on each of the seasons. Each e.p. is meant to sound like that season. This new one is bouncy and fun and has a lot of full band arrangements with brass lines and all. Also check out fall out boy’s new cover of beat it by Michael Jackson and Death Cab for Cutie has a new single out from their upcoming new album.
